DW's 9000 Series: Top-quality Components
DW's taken input from the world's top drummers and drum techs and incorporated it into their elite 9000 Series of hardware. The series boasts all the features those drummers and techs have been calling for: memory locks on the tube joints and the base assembly, plastic tube insulators, infinitely adjustable toothless tilters, large reset handles, secondary tilter locks, cymbal space adjusters, heavy gauge tubing, and more.

Drop-Lock Clutch and Mega Clamp mounting hardware
The DW 9502 remote hi-hat stand features DW's Drop-Lock Clutch, which closes with a click of the oversized, rubber-coated latch - a must when using the remote hi-hat or a double-pedal setup. The remote hi-hat comes with an 8-foot removable wire cable. Also included is DW's MG-1 and MG-2 Mega Clamp mounting hardware.

Infinitely Adjustable Locking Spring Tension
DW gave the 9502LB hi-hat stand their Infinitely Adjustable Locking Spring Tension, which lets you make precise adjustments to offset the weight of the top cymbal, creating a completely customized feel.

Uni-body Folding Footboard and Lateral Cymbal Seat
The 9502LB features DW's uni-body Folding Footboard design, which stays attached to the base casting when secured in the folded position. Onboard there's also DW's innovative Lateral Cymbal Seat - a first in hi-hat design. It gives you instant access for adjusting the bottom cymbal angle - a small detail that makes a big difference.

Includes the Remote Hi-hat Bag
The 9502LB remote hi-hat stand includes DW's carrying bag, which protects the stand and also provides a separate compartment for its mounting hardware.

DW Gear: Built to Last
DW - or Drum Workshop - is known around the world for their innovative designs, for their commitment to quality, and for their attention to the wants and needs of working drum techs and professional drummers. Originally getting their start as a small teaching studio in 1972, DW has never lost their focus on the players and the playing experience - and has since crafted a comprehensive line of drums and hardware, to meet the needs of budding beginning drummers to all-out touring professionals. A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words!

I saw a number of drummers play with 2 Hi Hats and I decided to do the same. I ordered the DW 9502LB 9000 a while back, with a 10 ft cable so I could switch which foot I used. The DW SM 505 Drop Lock Hi Hat clutch ,which comes with it, works so well, that I ordered a second clutch for my Sonor Hi Hat.

purchased it about 6 moths ago from Sweetwater

DW quality. I also picked up a DW 9000 double pedal and have fabricated (finally) a kit that goes trad right or lefty.
I was motivated by crazy, boredom, just wondering how to play lefty. I ponyed up the $$ for it.
I am learning to "tune" the hats and finally have a secure... almost like a hat on a stand feel. There was a lot of finagling to get the hats off to the right of the ride. I used this crazy multi doggone thing i found in my hardware leftover box and it worked perfectly. The arm provided on a stand - if it is too far from stand - is shaky.
TIghted the bottom cymbal a bit tighter on the remote bottom cymbal holder..... you will get a better sound.

I have Tama Iron cobra pedals previous. The DW costs more.... but they sure are sweet.
Music background: played since i was in junior high.... about to get medicare.

So nice I’m buying it twice!

I'm a right handed drummer with nerve damage in my neck and right shoulder issues that have no hope of repair. I got to the point where I couldn't play for more than 45 minutes before having to stop due to muscle and nerve issues. Crossing over to play the hi-hat and having to move around the kit with my right hand so much was just killing me. I bought this as a last-ditch attempt at saving my music "career" (I'm a weekend warrior, like most of us). So, I did the unthinkable…I set up my hi-hat in between my rack tom and floor tom using this magic device and starting whacking away at the nuances of a completely new setup. Over the course of 10-12 weeks I got more and more comfortable with it, choosing to also move my ride just over the hi-hat so I didn't have to reach for it. It has made a massive improvement to my comfort, and freed up my left hand to do more of the work around the kit, while keeping time with my right. I threw away the drop-clutch because the thing was noisy and awful. Put a Cherry Hill custom clutch on it and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Although it's not hard to break down, I have found that taking it down (along with the stand I use for it) and transporting it for weekly rehearsals and then re-setting it up every week is a hassle. Therefore, I'm getting ready to buy another one to keep packed up for gigging and practice so I don't have to touch the one in my studio. Only knocked off half of a star because the clutch is garbage and it has a SLIGHT bit of lag that you will have to get used to if using it as a primary hi-hat like me.

Best remote HH stand I have owned

Solid, secure, smooth, dissassembles in seconds and comes with a good case.

Great!!!

I have it set up on my secondary High Hat and it is great being able to put it were ever you like. The mechanism works perfect, nice and smooth. One of the best things is the quick release, so you don't have to use the pedal to compress the 2 halves. which is also sold as a stand alone so you can put it on your existing HH and stand.
