Worth Every Dollar!!!

This is not just a cymbal but an elegant instrument with so many characteristics and tones. I watched every video I could find before purchasing this cymbal and it lives up to all my expectations. This ride does not cut through the mix but it blends in the mix. Perfect ride for a worship atmosphere as the wash is so elegant and smooth. I used to be a zildjian guy but now I'm byzance for life. If you're looking for top of line quality this is it.

Buy it

After owning everything under the sun , I finally found what I've searched for my entire life. If you love articulate stick definition with warm undertones and crash ability without sounding like a gong , this is it. I actually use a half of moon gel for a bit more control and it's amazing looking and sounding. I play loud classic rock and it does the job without taking your head off which for me is embarrassing. ! Small rooms I use moon gel , bigger rooms I removed gel. Real big rooms I'll mike it. Can't lose. Buy it.

Beautiful Sound

Very good crash/ride. Especially for CCM and other types of music you play at your church. Note: when using as a ride, have in mind it will have some sustain!

Buying a ride that isn't this one? You're making a mistake

I have always had a difficult time finding two items for behind the kit. STICKS AND CYMBALS. My mind never stays in one place and I always think there is a better feeling stick out there or that my cymbals aren't the right fit for my taste.....That has now changed at least when it comes to my main Ride cymbal. I've never been the guy to buy the same thing twice but if ever the time comes where this cymbal breaks or if it gets lost or stolen I will order this exact ride each and everytime. It's that amazing. It truly is a blast to play and you can really experiment with every inch of this cymbal and develop so many great tones that will work with any tune you're grooving on. An absolute must. Do yourself a favor and own this immediately.

Explosive with Great textures

Even though I'm giving this cymbal 5 stars I have some issues with it. Objectively it's a very interesting and musical cymbal. There's a fast washy attack when you hit it on the edges that decays pretty quickly. The bell has a beautiful clean ping (though I find it hard to sometimes to strike it just right). As a ride it has a lot of textures to work with. It's the most complex cymbal I've ever played. For all these reasons it deserves 5 stars. My problems with it have to do more with me. I don't have other cymbals that work well with it. I have a 16" Zildjian a custom crash and medium crash. Both are too bright and traditional sounding to work with the transition ride imo. I think buying other dry dark crashes with the transition ride is important to complement it. Maybe other drummers would have better ways of playing and using the transition ride than I do. As it is, I can't help but like the sounds I get out of the cymbal but I need more time to lean how to make them work for me.
