Super-versatile 22-inch Ride

Introduced in 1971, Paiste's 2002 series cymbals defined the sound of classic rock. Paiste has continued to develop the line, and today these cymbals are heard in virtually every flavor of electric music. Made with CuSn8 Bronze (aka 2002 Bronze), 2002 cymbals are very versatile and work great in a wide variety of musical settings, including classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy and progressive metal, fusion, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul, and gospel. The Paiste 22-inch 2002 Ride is a general-purpose ride cymbal that offers more of the same. Sweetwater drummers have found the sound is warm, full, lively, and brilliant, with a balanced feel and medium sustain.

Paiste: the crossroads of tradition and innovation

Headquartered in Switzerland, Paiste meets the creative needs of drummers and percussionists with innovative cymbals, gongs, and bronze percussion instruments. Founded at the beginning of the 20th Century, Paiste lays claim to a number of cymbal firsts, including the first use of 8% bronze, the wavy-edged hi-hat bottom cymbal, the bell-less flat ride, unlathed hammered cymbals, color-coated cymbals, China cymbals with a downturned edge, and the invention of their Signature Bronze Alloy. World-class drummers such as Bill Bruford, Stewart Copeland, and Vinnie Colaiuta have long relied on Paiste cymbals to forge their signature sounds — and you can, too!

Just what I wanted

It's a great cymbal, matches the 18 inch that I have I believe I will add a 19 inch for the musicality of the cymbals,, I received this at a tremendous price from Sweetwater I cannot thank you enough thanks Derrick..
Music background: I started playing on a piece of wood with the rubber pad in 1965, my parents wouldn’t buy me a drone until I showed at least one year of interest. I’ve been playing 57 years, still learning, still practicing, and I believe I’m getting better

Great cymbal for any style of music

If your looking for a ride cymbal that has a very nice sound no matter if you hit the edge or the bell, then this is what you want. It's a really great cymbal that I love. It has a nice bell sound and a great edge sound, and it's also good if you hit in between. This cymbal is great if you play many different styles of music, whether you play rock or jazz, this cymbal sounds great in any setting.
Music background: Drummer who has performed all kinds of music

Sounds great

I love this ride cymbal. I replaced a Zildjian A Sweet Ride, 21". That was a good-sounding cymbal, but I feel like this sounds sweeter (despite not being named a "sweet ride"). Great overtones on this cymbal, nice ping. It doesn't have a ton of wash if you're hitting it with the tip of the stick, but that's exactly what I'm looking for.
Music background: Gigging musician
