Paiste Siganture set- even better than expected

This cymbal set is terrific. This is my first set of Paiste cymbals, and they have exceeded my expectations.

As for the buying experience, I would like to say thank you to Sweetwater, salesman Tim Wolking, and Nick D'Virgilio. It was an absolute pleasure working with Tim, and I very much appreciate his followup phone calls. Initially, it looked like some of my cymbals were going to be delayed, but Tim came through and made it happen, and I received my cymbals in 3 days. Tim was very fun to talk to, and it reminded me of the good old days of going to the music store and talking music and drums with the staff. As for Nick, I really enjoy all of his gear demo videos, and his demo of the Paiste signature set really helped me settle on this Paiste set that I got. I also really admire his playing.

Thank you, everyone at Sweetwater. You'll definitely be the ones I call when I get ready for another purchase.

Absolutely Fantastic timbre, blend, attack and clarity!

I had been looking for a step-up set of stage cymbals for months, but could not find the sound I was looking for between the two dominant brands. I have always loved Paiste sound, but was put off by the cost of goods as compared to similar products. It's also challenging to find a drum shop that stocks Paiste to take them on a test run. I started playing a couple riffs for my wife with them and she immediately went to cover her ears, but then said "wait, they don't hurt my ears"! The clean pure sound of the Signatures was musical not painful like my Zildjian As. I played them during rehearsal and found that I could hear the rest of the band even during loud cymbal passages. The wash-out was gone! Paistes blend into the music rather than washing it out. They also blend into each other without crazy dissonant overtones. The timbre, tone, blend, clarity and attack is exactly what a cymbal should sound like and what I was looking for. The Signatures are very versatile as well. We play a wide variety of challenging tunes and they fit perfectly in all genres. This Paiste pack is a fantastic value. I have my sound!

Music background: 50s years behind a kit

Full body and balance!

These cymbals are just amazing. They are definitely bright and cut hard, but still have good tone when you hit them lighter. If you prefer something more down the middle or dark rather than brighter sounding cymbals, the 2002s or the Masters are great, but these are even better if you either don't mind or prefer bright cymbals, which I do! And to add to that, the sizes work beautifully together and that 16 fast crash is no slouch! Not a single regret getting these!

Fantastic look, feel and sound!

I received a set of Paste signature classics this morning. Immediately set them up for a test ride. They are striking, super sharp! The timbre of each cymbal is wonderful and they blend perfectly together with no conflicting over-tones or cross talk. I was able to get great response at very low, medium and high volumes. No wash outs. The high-hats are especially versatile! I was able to get perfect jazz, blues and rock sound as expected. Amazing service from Matthew as well! I had forgotten how fantastic Paste cymbals sound especially the Signature Series! Nothing short of wow!

Beautiful pies!

When I think Paiste, I think excellence. These Signature cymbals from Sweetwater proved to be just that. I converted to Paiste several years ago and I am never going back.
