The Tama Mike Portnoy MP125ST Signature Snare features a 3-way tension adjustable snare strainer that offers additional sounds without the hassle of switching snare drums. More specifically, the strainer contains separate throw-offs in order to allow for multiple variations of snare tension. These variations allow you to "switch" between separate snare drums on the same drum. The strainer can lock into three different positions - off, loose, and tight.
