4-piece B8 Cymbal Set: 14" Hats, 16" and 18" Crashes, 20" Ride

Zildjian’s I Family of cymbals beckons drummers to explore new Zildjian sizes and designs without breaking the bank. The Zildjian I Series Pro Gig Pack gives you high output and expression, thanks to its thin-weight B8 bronze 14" hi-hats, 16" and 18" crashes, and 20" ride. Small-bore hammering and fully lathed playing surfaces lend these cymbals a mature, glassy response that can really stand out in a mix without overtaking it. A medium-sheen, traditional finish gives the I Series Pro Gig Pack a look that will be right at home among the rest of your Zildjian collection.

Zildjian I Series: an overview

Zildjian’s intrepid I Series cymbals are thinly crafted from bold, cutting B8 bronze and treated to extensive small, round hammering to unlock the rich musical character within. Fully lathed surfaces give each cymbal in the line a glassy response, while thin weights and slim profiles provide maturity and expression that can normally be lacking in this price range. If you’re a drummer who’s looking to round out a cymbal collection or branch out into trash crashes and mastersound hi-hats, the Zildjian I Family of cymbals comes highly recommended by drummers at Sweetwater.

Inspiration at every turn

The “I” in “I Series” comes from ilham, the Turkish word for inspiration. We feel this is a fitting name, not only for the sonic variety to be found in this cymbal series, but also for the value it offers in its price point.

Excellent news

My husband has a life long dream of playing drums. We've collected the full series of the Pearl drums from Sweetwater. The service has been outstanding! Now at his 50th birthday my husband will showcase his skills! He's doing a marvelous job, we are soooo happy!

Quality, Great Sounding Cymbals

I've been a drummer for a long time. I'm not great but I enjoy playing and have fun. While purchasing my new Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz drum set I wanted a set of Cymbals that would be a complimentary fit to that kit and my home Music Room.

I'm not gigging or playing live like I did many years ago, just playing along with my Music Production Workstation setup. I don't need Cymbals whose sound will fill a Concert Hall.

Over the years I've owned a few different brands of Cymbals but I always preferred Zildjian. For me there is just something special about their feel and sound.

This Zildjian I Series Pro Gig Cymbal Set is perfect for my needs. I like that they are a thinner type cymbal and are excellent quality. They require very little hitting pressure to fully resonate with great clarity. Really only the lightest stick hits are needed! You can't beat the price either for this Pro Gig set.
I've had them for over a year now and still love them and they look great! I added the 10" Splash and my wife surprised me with the 16" China Cymbal so I really have a perfect combo!

PHENOMENAL CYMBAL PACK

you should not expect anything less from zildjian, as they make astounding cymbals from beginner up to professional levels, but this cymbal pack will exceed your expectations. for the money, I do not think you will find a more value packed cymbal pack out there. I've recorded them in every single one of my songs, and they stand out in the mix beautifully, as they are very expressive and musical. this cymbal set is 100 percent worth it if you are looking to upgrade from cheaper cymbals, or if you're looking for something that will sound good in all situations. they have beautiful mid range, not as dark as the K series, but very musical, perfect for any genre. the set is literally perfect for recording, big stages, and even just a small live gig.
Music background: experienced drummer, guitarist, bassist, and producer.

Loving these cymbals so far - don't let the reasonable price deceive you!

I decided to take the leap and pick up this Zildjian I Series Pro Gig Cymbal Set and swap out my full set of cymbals for these immediately. I have to say that I am really impressed with these cymbals overall. I think this is an extremely well rounded, relatively cheap set of cymbals that would do any intermediate level drummer quite well for many years. I really like how bright and resonant these cymbals are, and I also think they look beautiful which is a bonus. Are there better cymbals out there? Yes, probably so. In this price range? I don't know, but I really like these cymbals and would buy them again in a heartbeat if I needed to make another purchase.

As far as Sweetwater goes? This was my first Sweetwater purchase and I was incredibly impressed with the speed they shipped the cymbals out, how well packaged everything was (I also picked up a new keyboard stand for my Arturia Keylab and Native Instruments Midi Controller which arrived in perfect condition too!), and with the communication. Sweetwater clearly stands by what they sell, they know the products, unlike some of their competition that is locally available where I live and online. The phone call to make sure I received everything and to ask if I had any questions was a simple but nice touch - something you don't see a lot in any retail experience these days.

I've also added a couple pictures to show how they look on my kit.
Never, ever forget your hi-hat tugboat!

Love'em

I needed new cymbals and I am a diehard Zildjian player. I don't need anything top of the line and was trying to decide between the I and S series at the top of my budget. I discussed this with my sales engineer and he recommended the lower priced I series. Sweetwater, being a 1000 mile drive for me, I decide to take a trip to the "Dark Side"...my local G.C. After pinging a few crashes of both series I promptly left, drove home and placed my order with Sweetwater for an I series pro gig cymbal pack. I know I can trust Sweetwater for a hassle free experience and if there's an issue it will be taken care of. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Ryan!
Music background: Life long non-gigging hobby drummer.

Ask any drummer at Sweetwater, and chances are, we'll tell you that Zildjian represents the gold - or rather bronze - standard in cymbal making. Seriously, Avedis Zildjian may have been trying to make gold, but he did even better when he formulated what's arguably the best cymbal material on the planet. We've played virtually every type of Zildjian cymbal out there, and you won't find anyone at Sweetwater who wouldn't happily recommend their instruments to you, plus their sticks and other accessories are also pretty sweet. Whether you're grabbing your first S or ZBT pack or have saved up for the A or K series cymbals you've always wanted, Sweetwater is your source for all things Zildjian.
